V3700 batteries

IBM (2072) and Lenovo (6099) V3700s have 2 controller nodes. Each contains a replaceable battery and the batteries have a limited lifespan. The manufacture date is printed on the white label with the part number on at the right-hand side.

The original battery has part number 00Y4594 with FRU (Field-Replaceable Unit) part number 00Y4643. It is a Sony 9.6V, 0.95Ah, 9.2Wh device. We have seen these with up to 2023 manufacture dates and they are still available.

An alternative battery has part number 44X3320 with FRU (Field-Replaceable Unit) part number 90Y7689. It is of slightly larger capacity being a Sony 9.6V, 1.05Ah, 10Wh device. We have seen these with 2024 manufacture dates.
